Parent Coaching

Build Together. Grow Together.

Every effort counts, yours and theirs.

Igniting the Sparks to Learn

We're the Spark, Not the System

Each circle is a capacity, a learner's capacity to grow, a parent's capacity to support that growth. They already overlap. That overlap is the bond.

We come in as a third circle, sitting inside that overlap, not to replace either of you, but to expand both circles at once, and widen the space between them. Not to stay there permanently. If this is working, we should eventually be able to step back out.

The measure of value isn't how long we stay in the picture. It's whether, by the time we do step back, learner and parent have grown enough, together, that they no longer need us to.

Connecting

Ever had looping conversations with your child and felt like nothing changes no matter how much you tried? You've exhausted so many options, and nothing seems to be working. What if it's hardly about your child's behaviour at all?

At this step, we do the groundwork. Mindfulness, with self, and with others. Before anything else, this builds real awareness, of your own patterns, your own reactions, setting the base for connection that's meaningful with your child, built on conscious, intentional effort between the two of you.

Igniting the Spark

Understanding what's going on doesn't always change what happens at home.

At this step, that understanding turns into what helps ignite their spark to learn. We take what you've built in the groundwork and set it into motion, turning understanding into something you actually do, together with your child. You develop your own way, and gain confidence through the tools and habits that carry it into action, building connections that ripple outward, in learning, and beyond it. A place of growth and abundance, as a team with your child.

Tending the Flame

You can be there for your child for as long as you can, but there will be days, and at a point, they have to stand on their own. At this step, you define your own way, progressively building a sustainable path to walk this journey with your child as they grow, leaving them better than the life you gave them, into someone who thinks, moves, and grows on their own terms. Driven. Virtuous. Theirs.

FAQ
Your Questions Answered
Things that we commonly get asked.
Parent Coaching versus Learner Partnership Programme versus Subject Mentoring

Parent Coaching is what we offer on its own, to help you do your own personal work as a parent. We've seen it ripple outward too, when parents work on themselves, it often boosts how their kids learn as well.

If your child is already with us for Subject Mentoring, that's where the Learner Partnership Programme comes in. We help you integrate and lean into the dynamic you already have as a family, navigating and journeying alongside you to strengthen that bond, which in turn helps your child's learning too.

Subject Mentoring is its own service entirely, the mentorship your child receives directly. You can read more about it here.

Is this a one-off session?

One good conversation can spark quite a bit, we've seen it happen. But real change is more like tending a fire, it needs consistency, and time to actually see what's underneath. That's why this is a three-month programme, not a single session. If you're not sure yet, that's exactly what a Strategy Session is for, a real feel for what this coaching is like, no big commitment, just an honest first step.

Does my child need to be enrolled with Berleaf Education for me to start coaching?

No. Parent Coaching is for anyone who wants to do this work, whether or not your child is with us. That said, if your child later joins us for Subject Mentoring, we can then look at converting your coaching into the Learner Partnership Programme, which comes with a financial saving and lets us help strengthen the dynamic between you and your child even further, something we'd be glad to discuss when the time comes.
